EU/European policy on animal
research

As the voice of the biomedical sector for the use of animals in research in Europe, EARA works alongside the EU and national authorities, both inside and outside the EU, to improve transparency and openness.

EARA has worked with the EU on a number of initiatives.

- Analysis of more than 1,000 websites of European institutions to ass their openness on animal research.

- A report on how to improve non-technical summaries of research proposals and their use of animals.

- The development of Transparency Agreements, in six EU countries, on openness about animal research
