EARA’s online media training is returning in early 2026 with updated content focused on transparency, public engagement and communication on animal research. The sessions are aimed at researchers, veterinarians, project managers, communicators and animal welfare professionals and will be held online in English.Â

A new Basic Research Media Training – Cancer Research Edition will take place on 3 March 2026. The interactive workshop is designed to help researchers and communication staff explain the value of basic cancer research, including the use of animals and new approach methodologies (NAMs), and to improve engagement with the public and the media. Â

Two additional online workshops will be held in February 2026. A Non-Technical Summaries (NTS) Writing workshop on 10 February will focus on writing clear, accessible and ethical summaries, including guidance on using the ALURES NTS Dashboard. On 19 February, the Animal Research for Science Communicators workshop will provide practical training on social media, public engagement and crisis communication.Â
