To celebrate the International Council for Laboratory Animal ScienceĀ (ICLAS) 70th anniversary, ICLAS invites EARA to the āGlobal Dialogues on Laboratory Animal Scienceā webinar.
This webinar will explore how transparency in animal research is approached across different regions of the world, highlighting what can be learned from diverse practices and perspectives.
Over the past decade, the European biomedical community has made significant progress towards greater openness about animal research, leading communications and outreach initiatives. Bringing together voices from Canada, South America (Brazil), Africa (Mauritius), South Asia (India) and East Asia (Japan) this session will examine how regions outside Europe are communicating about their use of animals in research, engaging with the public, and contributing to more open and informed dialogue both nationally and internationally. By comparing these approaches, the webinar aims to provide a broader understanding of global efforts to strengthen transparency and trust.
