A team at ISC-PIF, France, has created a series of knowledge maps to identify key areas of study relating to Covid-19.
The study identifies research using animals as a key feature in four out of five of the maps, with work using mice shown to be particularly common.
Key terms relating to Covid-19 are represented by a dot on the map with lines connecting it to related other dots and terms.
Animal research can be identified by searching for different animal models, for example a search for mice in the Covid-19 2020 map links to 50 other key terms.
