US campaign highlights animal studies


An innovative US social media campaign, aimed at increasing public support for animal studies, which benefit humans and animals alike, has been launched.


The #WhatIf campaign, by the Foundation for Biomedical Research, Americans for Medical Progress and States United for Biomedical Research, will allow institutions to share eye-catching infographics, facts and interesting insights about the importance of animal research.


Each week (on Friday) in September, October and November, the group will share a Dropbox folder containing a series of pre-produced social media posts (facts, infographics and brief videos). Some, or all, of the provided materials can then be posted on social media over the upcoming seven days.
